Gift Guide - Red, Red, Red

0 comentarios

Here you have a new gift guide =) This time: red items! Thanks to Beth of bethan009

Gift Guide - Red, Red, Red

I don’t know about your presents-to-buy list, but mine seems to get longer and longer every year – where do you find enough inspiration (not to mention time and money!)?

Sometimes you find the perfect thing straight away, or someone has been determined enough to tell you what they would like, but most of the time this doesn't seem to happen, and with so much out there it is often hard to know where to begin.

That’s the great thing about these gift guides that Gilbea is co-ordinating – someone else does a bit of the work, and hopefully provides a helping hand and a different perspective.

So, here is my contribution: gifts in the colour red, for the people you know who love a bit of brightness.

Fall / Winter Trends - Colorful Coats

5 comentarios

This time it seems fashion and me walk different paths (lol, as usual).

I got myself this super cool and fabulous (you can tell I love it!) coat yesterday at Mango:

Even though I saw on some fashion magazines that the "in" thing in coats this winter is to wear a bright colored one, the shops only have dark colored (grey, black, brown) or white (cream, etc) coats. Also some plaid ones too. But that's it. I don't want a colorful coat (I already have one green one for a couple years ago), but I found funny how they are fashionable but not buyable. :D

If you feel you need a bright coat, see what I found at Etsy:

Sellers, left to right, top to bottom, are (link to the item): heidihodge, Gypsies, lindenlaneclothing, Branches, emeraldvintage, ancestorvintage

Hope you like them! Do you wear a bright colored coat or a dark one?

Spring Trend #3: Crayola Bright Colors

18 comentarios

This will lighten your spring for sure! After a dark fall, what we needed was some really bright colors in our wardrobe. So here they are! What do the designers say?:

This is a very fun trend! But what if this is too much color for us? What if we mix and match so many colors that it is definitely too much? What if we end up looking like a carrot from head to toe? Well, the tip is to wear one item (dress, top, skirt or trousers) in a fun bright color, and the rest of accessories (shoes, sandals, jewelry, bag) in brown colors (chocolate, cafe au lait, etc)

So, how to be colorful and still wear handmade? After searching through Etsy (this time it really took me a looong time, and most items are vintage!), this is what I found: (click on the image to see full size)

Sellers from top to bottom, left to right (link to the item): flytie, ahmbular, vintageitville, junkenvyEtsy, JacobsEye, mybabesboudoir, kelseygenna, greenbelts, ahmbular, liasaun1, peoplescouture, roadtripjournal, sparklecouture, themachinestops, RebeccasArtCloset, meristem, owleyesvintage, smashing, owleyesvintage, VerreEncore

Here I only showed the items with bright colors. If you want to achieve the look wearing something bright and combine with neutral colored accessories, then pick one from these items and add some accessories from your wardrobe :)

Did you like this trend? Will you be wearing anything like this? As always, love to hear your opinion and ideas!
