This week I will talk about how to achieve Rihanna's look with handmade/vintage items I find in Etsy.
She has a distinctively sexy, yet sharp look. Her love of lush colours, luxe fabrics, short hemlines and high waists have earned her a real fashion following.
She loves really short shorts and skirts, fun colors and bold accessories.


And I think Rihanna would love these items, either for everyday wear, a Grammys event or a music video :)

And finally, makeup! I found two awesome videos, inspired in Rihanna's makeup for the music video of Take a bow. The makeup she wears on that video is pretty cool and can look great for a night out!

One of the most popular actresses of the moment, muse of Woody Allen, and now a singer! She always knows how to look good, even with the most regular clothes. Must be her curves! She is not the kind of super thin woman we are used to see in Hollywood, she's more natural and I think that is way so many people like her and so many women want to look like her.

Said to be the new Marilyn Monroe, she always looks stylish and elegant, and here I have a few items I found in Etsy that I think Scarlett herself would love, either for the red carpet or for a regular day.

For the hair I could not find any videos, but here are the basic tips, taken word by word from Associated Content:
Her slightly-longer-than-shoulder-length hair is usually worn in a tussled manner that is styled slightly back and away from her face. She also frequently wears it in a way that locks fall around her forehead and temple areas. She's also known to wear her hair back in a bun or pulled into clips.

Definitely she is one of the most classy actresses in Hollywood history. She has this unique style that fits her perfectly and that every woman would like to achieve once or twice ;) It never goes out of style because this style means finding the perfect clothes for your shape (basic lines and colors) and wearing them all your life! :)

As Hepburn herself said, "Women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large glasses and the little sleeveless dresses."


First of all, usual Audrey clothes are:

1. For everyday: skinny black jeans, pastel polos, turtle-neck sweaters, ballerina flats.
2. Formal: simple knee-length black dress

Accessories: oversized sunglasses, white or black gloves for formal nights, leather bag with wooden handles and pearl or diamond necklace and/or earrings.

First of all, thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday :) I did in fact have a lot of fun this weekend hehe

Today I am bringing you another get the look of post. I placed a poll in my blog for this section and the winner was Sarah Jessica Parker. And I have to admit one thing. When I lived in the US I was a Sex and The City addict! So I thought it would be fun to deconstruct Carrie's look, since she was a style icon while the show was on air, and now she is back! After all, she is queen of Manhattan chic =)

Here I try to offer you items I found in Etsy to look a little bit more like Carrie, based on these outfits from the movie. And now some makeup tips to look more like Carrie:

Carrie always looks natural, as if she was not wearing much makeup: her cosmetics are all about shiny curls, defined cheekbones, bold eyes and nude, glossy lips.

1. With a freshly sharpened black pencil liner, you're going to make a thin yet dense line across the entire upper lash line. But you're not going to draw the line. To get a really fine line, dot the liner directly along the roots of the lashes in a "connect the dots" approach. No smudging, because you'll want to keep that line solid.
2. Sketch a line under the lower lashes with a gray-blue pencil, then smudge with a cotton swab or pointed-tip sponge applicator.
3. Apply two coats of black mascara to the upper lids. Apply one coat of mascara to lower lashes.
4. Blot cheeks, chin, nose and forehead with a sheer loose powder.
5. Apply a heather-pink powder blush to the cheekbones only.
6. Finish by lining the lips in a nude-pink liner, then filling the lips in with a soft, baby-pink sheer lipstick.

Hello again people! Yes, I know it's been at least 1 week since my last post... lazy is my middle name.
But here I am again, bringing you the latest trends in makeup :) Since I run out of trends for clothing and accessories I remembered that well, I do put makeup on sometimes, so why not research a little on what's hot?


Let's take a look at trends in each category:

• Skin: matte and uncolored or glowy (great for summer looks if you are tanned)
  
• Blush: pink :)
• Lips: any shade of pink to almost white / bright red
• Eyes: gold with smokey eyes, silver (icy eyes), pink/violet, deep colors like green, coral, blue, yellow.

Overall I'd say pink is the color for makeup this summer: blush, eyes, lips.

If you are the kind of girl that doesn't use heavy makeup I think you won't really care about makeup trends, but on what makes you look best. I'm one of those girls. When I go to work I only use a bit of concealer (aarrgghh dark circles!), and sometimes a bit of mascara. If I go party at night then I wear some eyeshadow, mascara, sometimes eyeliner, blush, ya know, the whole kit. For me what is most important is what kind of eyeshadow to wear to make my eyes nicer.
Eyeshadow color depends on your eye color, and blending in etc depends on the shape of your eye/face.

I found some kits for different eye colors in Etsy, I really like their colors:

• Brown eyes
• Green eyes
• Blue eyes
• Hazel eyes
  

I'm a mix between brown and green eyes, so depending on the day I choose one or the other style :)

I have to say for me it's a little difficult to understand her because of the accent lol but I'm sure for native English speakers will be easier ;)
