I'm back to blogging! Sorry I have been missing these last days, between editing the online magazine and the job hunt I don't have much free time. It's so weird how fast time flies when I am not doing anything real (you know, being at home all day in the internet lol).

Anyways, I am back today to bring you a fantastic recipe, this time for a drink. A very typical spanish drink! (NO, not sangria, that I will show you soon so you can drink it on New years eve lol)
Agua de Valencia! =) It is made with Cava (Spanish drink similar to champagne, usually cava is cheaper than champagne hehe - If you can't find Cava you can probably use cheap champagne or something similar) and very very easy to make.

Another spanish recipe: Arroz con leche! This one is made with rice (arroz), milk (leche) and cinnamon! And it tastes delicious and sweet. It is the perfect end for a great meal and I don't know anybody who doesn't love it. Our grandmas make it all the time!

Ahhh now I want one! =)

Wohoo! Today we have a new recipe: Spanish Omelet (Tortilla de patatas)

As you can tell, it is a spanish recipe =) I heard some story about it being invented during some war in spain (too many to count) when villagers had to feed soldiers that stopped by and didn't have much food so someone decided to use eggs and potatoes because it was the only thing they had. And it's said it was invented in my region, Navarra, so yay for us! lol

Not to confuse this omelet with mexican tortilla, it is something completely different.

This omelet can be done just with eggs and potatoes, or adding onion too. Both ways it is yummy, everybody I know loves it! There are as many versions of this dish as chefs. After you master the basic version, you can add anything to it! A very popular version is making 2 thin omelets and in between placing cheese and ham =) Yummy!

I also need to announce something: I am moving to Madrid! I accepted a job and start on Monday. I am leaving on Saturday, and I don't know if I will have internet at home, or will have to go to the library or cafe. So, sadly =( there won't be much action around here unless a neighbour has unprotected wifi lol However, I will try to update from now on and definitely post a couple times a week!

I made the catalogue for my wholesale customers. Sadly I don't have that many. I would like my business to grow and start selling in other cities and countries, but so far it has been quite difficult.

Let's talk about painting!
I have been making silk paintings for a few years now, but I only sell them at exhibitions. For the last year I totally dropped that line of my work and focused on silk accessories. I plan now on painting again now that I finished the summer collection. For now, I listed yesterday in Etsy this beauty that I saved from last year's work:

After working a lot this last weeks, finally I can show you some pictures of the silk bags I have been making.
First type of bag I have been working in is a small bag, sort of party style bag. So far I only have made 2, please tell me what do you think:


The idea is that each bag will be unique because the silk design used as fabric can't be reproduced twice.

The second type of bag is a hobo bag made of fake leather with silk sewn to it.
